The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad (ATSF), later known simply as the Santa Fe, was one of the railroads of US transportation lore. For auction is a copy of "Santa Fe Magazine" dated February 1975. The feature article in this issue focuses on Santa Fe's testing of concrete cross ties. Other stories include (a) an award to the Northern Division as the safest in the system; (b) the financial performance for the year 1974, the best in the railroad's history; (c) a feature on the Santa Fe on a west coast TV show; (d) the Railroad Retirement Act of 1974; (e) the Conty family, which had 9 men who worked for the Santa Fe; (f) "safety men" of the month; much more.
