For auction is a New York City Visitor's Guide, dated March 1943. The NYC printed these guides for its riders who were tourists in the Big Apple. It contains listings of places of interest; information on hotels, restaurants and bars; events occurring during the month; current Broadway shows; and feature stories. The brochure includes a fold-out map of Manhattan, noting NYC rail lines and train stations in red; hotels and neighborhoods are also noted. Ship piers are identified, and car ferry routes are also marked in red.
