The Pennsylvania Railroad (PARR) was one of the dominant railroad carriers in the US for over a century. Founded in 1837, it served the area between New York and Washington in the east to Chicago and St. Louis in the west, with most of its trackage concentrated in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana.
