Pristine condition! Absolutely no tears or even wear lines along creases. It has been folded in the original envelope since the 1950s. This packet of information was mailed to a young college graduate in 1951 who was attempting to get to graduate school in Albuquerque without a car! This listing includes a letter signed (stamped) by R J Mc Dermott that includes advertisement for streamlined eagles and a map of routes. There is a postcard so the recipient can request additional information and a 24 page booklet promoting the Colorado Eagle. Also included is the original envelope out of St Louis and postmarked May 31 1951. Note: the young student made it to Albuquerque by convincing a friend with a car to go to school in Albuquerque as well!
The "1951 Missouri Pacific Streamlined Eagles Advertisement Packet" would be a perfect fit for collectors, historians, and enthusiasts of rail memorabilia and vintage advertising.
