The Burlington Route was a major US railroad, serving 12 states in the Mid-west and Southwest. In 1970 it merged with the Northern Pacific, the Great Northern, and the Spokane, Portland, & Seattle railroads to form Burlington Northern (BN). After subsequent mergers/acquisitions, to include the Santa Fe, the original Burlington Route trackage is now operated primarily as the BNSF Railroad. For sale is a rule book entitled "Rules and Rates of Pay for Trainmen". It is dated December 1, 1952.
