The former St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company, known as the "Frisco" railroad, served nine states in the US Mid-west and South (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas) until it was acquired by the Burlington Northern Railroad in 1980; its survivng lines are now primarily operated today by the BNSF. For auction is a rule book entitled "Rules of the Transportation Department". It is dated March 1, 1957 and applied to the Frisco and its affiliates St. Louis, San Francisco & Texas Railway, and Alabama, Tennessee & Northern Railway. It covered such operating rules as time tables, signals, train movement, train orders, block signals and interlocking rules, CTC rules, radios, safety rules, more. Pages illustrate different color signals.
