1958 Central of Georgia Railway Company - rule book - MINT CONDITION

£25.97

For auction is a real jewel from a seldom-found railroad: a rule book from the former Central of Georgia Railway Company. The CofGa was the dominant railroad in Georgia for half a century, serving the major cities of Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, Columbus and Macon, as well as many other smaller towns. It also reached into southern Tennessee and eastern Alabama. The CofGa was acquired by the Southern Railway in the mid-1960s, and Southern ultimately became a partner in Norfolk Southern. This rule book is entitled "Operating & Maintenance Rules". It is dated April 1, 1958. Measuring appx 6 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches, it has a hard cover and contains 136 pages.
