For auction is a rule book from London Midland Region of British Railways (BR) entitled "Book of Instructions in connection with the Working on Electric Trains, with instructions respecting Multiple Aspect Automatic and Semi-Automatic Colour Light Signaling". It is dated December 1, 1959. In addition to general instructions, the booklet addresses specific topics such as isolation of conductor rails, dead sections, emergency isolations, pre-arranged isolations, modification of standard rules, working of trains, working of brake, emergency telephones, working traffic of a double line over a single line of rails during repairs or construction, ballast train working, much much more. It includes several pages of engine headlight signals and operating signal positions.
