For auction is a rule book from British Railways (BR), London Midland Division, entitled "A.C. Electrified Lines, Working Instructions". It is dated July 1960. This book was provided to all BR employees working on rail lines which were electrified. It has instructions for the isolation and earthing of overhead line equipment, for operating electric locomotives, for operating electric multiple-unit trains, for protecting railroad staff working on sidings and in depots, and for protecting non-railroad staff working in goods yards and sidings. There are instructions for treating people who have had electric shock, a section defining terms used in the book, and general instructions. Further, there is a track diagram showing electrified lines between Manchester and Crew.
