this is a rare and collectable road sign from the 1960s. this sign would have been placed at Otterburn Northumberland on the A68 to warn drivers of the winter conditions of the steep road (carter bar) crossing the Scottish border. the sign can have dangerous, blocked or clear. the sign is made from steel and aluminum, which would have been pushed into the ground or snow.
