You are bidding on an issue of "Ties" from March 1963. The cover photo shows a shipment of fiber-glass boats. Features include a Congressional bill to implement freight rate reductions, new super-cushion box cars manufactured by Pullman-Standard at Birmingham (AL), collections of railroadiana from Southern predecessor lines, the shipment of water pipe to Atlanta (GA), an editorial on "public costs" in transportation, more. An historic photo section includes a steamer on a trestle in 1887. There are over 2 dozen photos and illustrations.
