The Baltimore & Eastern Railroad Company (B&A) was a short-line that combined ferry and rail service to connect Baltimore and Ocean City, Maryland. Most has been abandoned. For auction is a rule book dated June 1, 1964 (and reprinted June 1, 1965) entitled "Agreement entered into, by and between the Pennsylvania Railroad Company and Baltimore & Eastern Railroad Company - Employees of the Said Companies of the Crafts or Classes of Locomotive Engineers in Road and Yard Service represented by Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen". It details rates of pay in passenger, through freight, local freight, belt line, and yard service. Tables provide the minimum daily and overtime rates, time and mileage calculations, and weight on drivers of engines in working conditions.
