The Union Pacific Railroad (UP) is the largest rail transportation company in the US. Established in 1862, it has grown both by construction and by acquisition; its system now includes such railroads as the Southern Pacific, Western Pacific, Missouri Pacific, Rio Grande, Chicago & North Western, and the Missouri-Kansas-Texas. Its system stretches from Chicago and New Orleans in the east to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle in the west. For auction is a dining car menu from the UP's "City of Portland" Domeliner passenger train; it is dated January 1967. It is printed on medium-weight cardstock. The illustration is from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon The menu features a wide range of sandwiches, a la carte items and fixed-price meals.
