CSX Transportation is one of the two major railroads in the eastern half of the United States. Formed in 1986 from a merger of the former Chessie System Railroad and Seaboard Coast Line Railroad and their subsidiaries, CSX acquired some 42% of Conrail's assets and added these to its system. The resulting system contains 21,000 miles of lines and serves 23 states, 2 Canadian provinces, and the District of Columbia. For auction is a copy of the CSX annual report for 1989. It measures appx 11 x 8 1/2 inches, contains 48 pages. and is unused in mint condition, with no rips, tears, writing or markings. The binding is undamaged. The report contains many tables presenting the railroad's financial results and traffic, discussion on the year's performance, and photographs.
