It is understood that EDWARD BORROWS & SONS, located at Providence Works, Sutton, near ST HELENS (Lancs) built around forty 0-4-0WT locomotives of this design between 1872-1913. The final builds were three between 1913-1921, begun at the original Providence Works but completed at other sites nearby.
