Antique Brass Railroad Train Pull (Tirez in French) 7” W

£217.87

This is a unique piece that I had trouble finding much information about. I found an article from Greece where the were restoring a train—quoted below includes the information about the train and the includes pictures of this same item during restoration. See last photo. It is unclear to me if this piece is complete. But certainly a unique find! It is 7” wide. Let me know if you’d like other measurements. “It was built in 1926 by BIRMINGHAM RAILWAY CARRIAGE & WAGON CO LIMITED BUILDERS. SMETHWICK, ENGLAND, for the Fleche d'Or (Golden Arrow) train. The carriage belonged to the category of those that the Compagnie internationale des Wagons-Lits (CIWL) called pullman, i.e. luxury travel vehicles”
