18" tall and 7" in diameter at the base this is an early railroad lantern in rough condition. No burner and while there seems to be some embossed lettering it cannot be read. The glass is good. I know some of you railroad enthusiasts will be able to date and place this item and perhaps you could help by passing this info along and I will see that it is posted. Thanks..
