The Bangor & Aroostook Railroad (B&A) was formed in 1891 and served northern Maine. In 1995 it was sold to Iron Road Railways which operated the company until bankruptcy in 2002. Portions of the B&A were sold to various other short-line companies, and some of the trackage is now owned and operated by the Canadian Pacific Railroad. For sale is a copy of the BAR company magazine, "Maine Line", from March-April 1972. The magazine contains BAR company news, promotions and other personnel news, in addition to feature stories. Features in this edition include (a) building insulated box cars; (b) solving transportation problems collectively; (c) shipping frozen foods by piggyback (TOPC); (d) a 15-year old taking her first train ride; much more.
