A superb and atmospheric Edwardian railway scene showing a line of excursion locomotives standing beneath the vast iron and glass roof of Brighton Station in 1905. Several beautifully turned-out steam engines are assembled along the platform, headed by a D2 Class locomotive, their polished brasswork and distinctive liveries reflecting the pride and importance of excursion traffic during the great age of steam.
