The reverse of the map is printed with information illustrated with two colour drawings. The attractive cover artwork is credited to "Huveneers". Which sounds about right! Unusually this edition does not have the date in the bottom left hand corner but the print code suggests 1957 which ties in with lines still open such as the Midland and Great Northern Joint (closed 1959), Garsdale - Hawes (closed 1959) while not shown is the line from Arbroath to Guthrie Junction (closed 1955).
