British Transport Docks (BTD) staff tie and 4 buttons. In 1965 a modern logo was was designed and almost Immediatel adopted as the BTD’s new logo. Blue tie with silver BTD logos. The British Transporr Docks Board was responsible for running all the original railway company docks. It was abolished in 1981. The tie is made from a synthetic material and is in good used condition - a few small marks that would likely clean. The buttons are plastic and measure approx 9/10ths of an inch in diameter. Although unmarked they are likely to have been produced by Thomas Grove. They have fixed brass shanks. Please see the photographs which form an important part of the description.
