Measuring approximately 3.25 inches wide by 2.25 inches high, this rectangular piece features a standard rear metal loop and prong closure designed to fit traditional 1.5-inch utility or dress leather belts. It was custom struck by a commercial minting firm as a regional workplace achievement token, displaying an embossed central rail cross-section alongside crisp division typography. The Chessie System operated as a prominent Class I holding company that managed several major American rail networks, including the historic Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, throughout the late twentieth century.
