Offered is a large - 11 inches tall and about 5 3/4 inches across at the top and 6 1/8 inches across at the bottom. The rims are a little rough - consistent with wear in a globe that probably dates to the turn of the last century. There is a glass seam on each side and some air bubbles in the glass which has a lavender tint to it. Marked at the top Dietz No. 3 , New York, USA and on the other side R2. Most likely from a large railroad lantern. Glass is clear - some very minor blemishes. It is heavy - about 3 1/2 pounds.
