The Hexthorpe rail accident occurred on 16 September 1887 at Hexthorpe railway platform, about 1.5 miles west of Doncaster, England. Tragically, 25 people lost their lives in the accident. The accident also resulted in manslaughter verdicts during the inquest, highlighting the severity of the incident.
