Electric locomotives with rod drives are among the highlights on the model railway layout. The often archaic exterior and the visible power transmission radiate the fascination of bygone railway eras. PIKO captured this perfectly and transferred it to the 1:87 scale. The constructive symbiosis of excellent model implementation and excellent driving characteristics characterize the newly developed PIKO E 91. The sharp engravings on the housing, coupled with extremely fine printing and decorated with extremely delicate pantographs, make the locomotive a piece of jewelry. It draws power from a powerful PIKO motor, and two finely balanced flywheels ensure continuous travel even in difficult track conditions. A PIKO SmartDecoder 4.1 with matching vehicle sound and mfx functionality is installed.
