Gaugemaster Limited Edition. The British Rail Class 56 is a heavy freight diesel-electric locomotive introduced between 1976 and 1984. A total of 135 locomotives were built, with early units constructed by Electroputere in Romania and later examples assembled by BREL in Doncaster and Crewe.
