Late Great Eastern Railway or early London & North Eastern Railway cast iron buffer stop warning sign. It must have been in a shed or station with cover, the sign is still nice and crisp, an uncommon sign. The GER did have fully titled longer worded versions, but they did also use this shortened version. I haven’t seen other railway companies use these type of signs. Face restored, the reverse was repainted but has been partially stripped. Approx. 17 1/4 x 11 7/8 inches. Collection welcome, I can also deliver to the September Quorn swap meet.
