Vintage Handlan St. Louis No. 57 Kerosene Signal Lantern. It features a distinctive red, ribbed Fresnel glass globe housed inside a protective wire cage. The base is stamped with "HANDLAN ST. LOUIS USA". From on my research, I believe this lantern is identified as a No 57. The red glass Globe has a small chip - please see the pictures. The lantern looks to have been repainted. The handle has been formed by the previous owner to improve carrying. I didn't want to straighten the handle because I think it added some character to the lantern. The lantern is in in nice vintage condition - please see the attached pictures as they are part of the description.
