If you need a project this is for you. Stated life as a Hornby 9F then given a Comet scale chassis, cylinders, valve gear and a full set of Romford wheels. It has no motor as that was provided by a motorised tender which is now non working. Then as I can work out it had a smoke unit and working buffer beam lights. Lights are still present but smoke unit removed. It was a layout loco so it has already earned it keep on displays. Not got the faintest idea what it’s worth! Listed it at £40 but tell me if you think otherwise. A good soak each side in a shallow tray of neat Dettol will get rid of the old paint and the weathering and give you a starting point. If this is for you then best of luck, a project that could be worth while.
