City of Lancaster originally entered service for the LMS as a streamlined loco numbered 6243, she was renumbered 46243 by BR in April 1948 and was destrreamlined in May 1949. When initially destreamlined the loco retained its sloped smokebox top as depicted in this model which also appears in the very attractive BR Blue livery.
