The dream was to build a new Peppercorn Class A1 locomotive. It was the first coal fired tender engine and the first mainline steam locomotive built in the UK since 1960. This is a lovely, highly detailed locomotive, in the BR Green of era 4 (1948 - 1956) with the British Railways "Early Crest" known as the "Lion and Wheel" emblem depicting a lion standing on top of a railway wheel.
This product would be a great fit for train enthusiasts seeking a robust and well-built Hornby model train set, made for Digital Command Control (DCC) compatibility, to enjoy hours of detailed and authentic train play.
