Designed by the legendary Sir William Stanier, this iconic 4-6-2 locomotive has been faithfully recreated in Era 3 livery and features a 5-pole skew-wound motor & NEM coupling system. Twenty-four of the class carried streamlining, which was removed from 1946 onward, but 6233 wasn’t one of them, having been built in conventional form and entering service in July 1938.
