Mr Townley would be in his 70s now in all likelihood. His spotting career centred on the LMR and the ER and he saw the beginnings of the diesel takeover. The covers and spine show the usual wear for this age. The book is all there and its scruffiness adds to the charm of a record of an era no longer with us. A copy for reference and interest .
