This book is a line side anthology of photographs of the route between Chester and Newport and its surrounding branch lines, showing everything from the locomotives and express trains that worked on the line to the main line stations and countryside destinations it served. The book also contains a detailed map and gradient profile of the route on the first two pages and is illustrated with vintage photographs throughout. It’s in good condition minus some scuffs and stains on the dust jacket, cover and page edges. It measures appropriately, 24.3cm high, 18.1cm long and 1.4cm wide.
