Up for auction is 9 3/4 inch dinner plate manufactured in England by Grindley Hotel Ware. I purchased this many years ago from a railroad china dealer who claimed this was for Illinois Central Terminal Railroad, but it is unmarked with no back-stamp thus I am leaving it with a big question mark. I have found others who claim this plate to be railroad, but I can't find it in the Railroad China books I have. It is a beautiful heavy plate with interesting design. Condition: no chips, but it has normal utensil marks. Thanks for looking. If anyone seeing this auction has more information I would appreciate it.
