This product is modeled after the appearance of the locomotive following its full inspection (general overhaul) completed in January 2022 (Reiwa 4). It faithfully reproduces distinctive exterior features such as the rotating spark arrestor on the chimney, the protective railing beneath the cab, and the Hokkaido-style guide handrails on the deck.
