Select-able number plates: ED78 3, ED78 5, ED78 9. The ED78 was developed specifically for use on the Ou Main Line, Senzan Line, and Banetsu West Line. These lines feature steep gradients, most notably the Itaya Pass, which connects Fukushima with Yamagata and Akita, eventually reaching Aomori.
