A nice example of a half pint pewter tankard from London Midland & Scottish Railway Hotels. Strong mark to base of Harry Mason Ltd, Birmingham. Clear “LMS Hotels” Mark to the side along with verification Mark of “GR” Under a Crown, and the number “6”beneath, also has a clear “H26” number. (Both to the Rim). Nicely formed and shaped piece, robust and heavy. No splits or cracks etc. The rim is Mis-shapen opposite the handle which could have easily been done during a heavy drinking session!!! Nice original patina. Measures 9.5 cm high overall and a base diameter of 7.5 cm. Ideal for pewter collectors or railway enthusiasts alike.
