RR92 Drawer 23 Drawing 26. The "Onward" was the first Mason Bogie Locomotive. A unique 0-4-4T narrow gauge locomotive designed and built by William Mason on speculation in 1871. It featured a single-ended boiler and a swiveling front truck (the first of its kind, and a precursor to the "Mason Bogie" design).
