This book is entitled "Locomotive Engineer's and Firemen's Book of Instructions". It measures approximately 4" x 6" and has 151 pages. This book has questions and answers. Several pages of local ads throughout the book. I thumbed through the book and was unable to find a date, but definitely before zip codes and 7 digit phone numbers. All the advertisements are from Oakland. The binding is broken at the front and back covers, but the inside pages appear clean and unmarked.
