The other steam locomotive, No 3, was one of three built in 1949 by Andrew Barclay for Bord-na-Mona, with the intention that it should run on turf. The two diesels are Simplexs of type 102T and originally worked at the Kilvington works of Blue Circle Industries in Nottinghamshire.
