I built this power unit mainly for the purpose of cleaning my locomotives, but it can also be used perfectly well as a controller. The electronic speed control is very smooth and there is a reversing switch. Power output is for engines with 12 volt DC motors and the unit will supply up to 4 amps, so should do fine with O gauge locos. For wheel cleaning there is a connector with a wire brush on one lead and a scraper on the other. Protection is by a 4 amp fuse. Any questions please ask.
