Vintage New York Central Railroad 7 3/4" Side Plate in the Dewitt Clinton Pattern. I think the date is 1st quarter of 1945. Plates made between 1925 and 1951 or thereabouts. It shows signs of use! No chips, no cracks but shows wear from lots of usage!
