The Whistle is a wonderful reminder of the history of rail and in particular the North Eastern Railway. The whistle still has its pea (believed to be cork) and is in good working order. There is what appears to be minor historic damage to the lower part of the mouthpiece. It’s not a perfect item but has marks that indicate its age and usage. I have tried to capture everything in the photos.
