For sale is an employee's kerosene lantern from the New York Central Railroad. It was manufactured by Dietz Vesta. The initials "N.Y.C.S." are on the lip edge. The lantern has a marked white globe (initials "NYC LINES" etched on the globe) and a fuel pot. It stands appx 9 inches tall (not including the handle) and appx 6 inches at the base. The lantern needs restoration but appears to be structurally sound. There is some spot rust and pitting, and it needs a general cleanup. With some TLC, this lantern should restore nicely.
