To fix the body to the chassis, no modification is needed to the chassis. The body has been designed to make fitting stress free and will fit Bachmann and mainline royal Scot chassis. Pilot holes are on the model to insert the hand rail knobs and there are two holes in the body to fit M2 friction nuts to fasten the loco body to the chassis.
