The product is an original vintage New York City Transit Authority porcelain subway sign featuring the Greenpoint Ave station. This collectible item provides a piece of transportation history and can be a unique addition to any collection related to railroadiana, maps, or vintage New York City memorabilia. The sign is a tangible representation of the city's transit history and can serve as a conversation piece for those interested in urban development and transportation. This sign has never been used, was given to me, in the 70’s, by a NY City Transit worker, who found an unopened case in a never used station. This is original but new, Baltimore Enamel, 200 5th Ave. NY sign. This is a 12” x 12” sign that was on every pillar in the subway, until they switched to white on black.
