the "NoHAB". A series of roughly 160 diesel locos was built in the late 50s to early 60s by the Swedish firm Nydqvist och Holm AB. The common nickname "NoHAB" comes from their initials. These were built for railroads in several European countries, under license from the leading US locomotive maker of the era, the Electro Motive Division of General Motors. They feature an adaptation of the classic F-Unit "bulldog" nose, but with a cab on each end.
