The Piko models of the railcar and control car embody functionally reliable designs, like their DB models. The railcar model is powered by a small engine that is equipped with two precisely sized flywheels to ensure perfect running properties. The drive acts on both axles of the railcar. Since the railcar and control car can be coupled to one another via a current-conducting short coupling kinematics, two additional (and therefore four) axles can be used for safe current collection when using control cars.
