The "ETA Wittfeld" (or Wittfeld-type accumulator railcar) refers to a battery-electric train developed by the Prussian State Railway between 1907-15. Designed by railway engineer Gustav Wittfeld, they were the first multi-part heavy rail vehicles consistently designed to run on battery power.
